Southern Pacific Rattlesnake
Image 1 is a close-up of a young rattler, with only one rattle past its button. Image 2 was an unusual event, with an adult rattlesnake perched in a tree! The snake stayed there overnight, and then slowly descended and departed the scene the following morning. Cuyamaca Mountains, California.
