Common Pauraque
This bird rests on the ground in the daytime and can be seen quite easily if one knows where to look. They rely on the their amazing camouflage to avoid detection while day-snoozing, as the two below, photographed in the daytime at Estero Lllano Grande State Park in south Texas, were doing.
